The glass of a timepiece plays an important role in the exact timepiece performance and presence. Its material could determine whether your timepiece could keep working for years or not. In some cases, people depend largely on the exact small piece of glass of the watch to identify the exact authenticity of a branded watch. Thus, it is very important that we know about the very glasses of the exact timepiece when we are buying the very watch.

In the very prevailing market, there are three kinds of glass materials for the wrist watches. They are the very organic glass, the regular quartz glass and the sapphire crystal.

Organic glass is light, hard and high transparent. Because of this, it is just not hard to identify a piece of organic glass. However, it is kind of difficult to tell the exact quartz glass from the sapphire crystal seeing as they look similar to each other. Though they appearance similar, their qualities differ greatly. The particular sapphire crystal is reputed for its strong ability of resisting abrasion. It could tolerate strong shock without being abraded. For this reason, it is much more expensive than the particular quartz glass. Those high graded wrist watches often adopt the former seeing as the particular glass material. Seeing as it is hard to tell the very two materials, here I offer you one simple method to distinguish them. You could lay a drop of water on the exact wrist watch face and then put the watch face in a vertical level. If the particular water appears in a bobble shape without scattering around, then the exact material is the exact sapphire crystal. But make sure your timekeeper is waterproof before you operate this experiment.

For me, sapphire crystal will the better choice seeing as it is more endurable compared using the organic glass and the quartz glass. Sapphire crystal is my choice. What about yours? Have a good shopping time.
